Dr. Abdul Gafoor is an esteemed Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in hip, knee, foot and ankle, shoulder, sports injuries, trauma, and reconstruction orthopaedics. He attained his medical degree from Government Medical College, Calicut, and pursued his DNB from the National Board of Examination, New Delhi. Further enhancing his expertise, he completed a fellowship in Arthroscopy, Sports Injuries, and Foot and Ankle Orthopaedics at Duke University Hospital, Durham, North Carolina, USA.
distinguished member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, Scotland (MRCS), Dr. Gafoor served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at Government Medical College, Calicut, prior to his current role as a Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedics at Iqraa International Hospital, Calicut. He augmented his skills through an Advanced Knee Fellowship at Baby Memorial Hospital, Kozhikode.
Dr. Gafoor has played pivotal roles in orthopaedic management teams for prominent sporting events such as the National Games 2015 and the Nagjee International Football Calicut 2016, where he successfully treated numerous champions, facilitating their return to competitive levels.
With a fervent interest in research, Dr. Gafoor has presented podium sessions at various international, national, and regional scientific gatherings. He holds executive membership with the Indian Foot and Ankle Society (IFAS) and serves as the Honorary Secretary of the Calicut Orthopaedic Society.
